Bismillahirrahmanirrahim. Tips tips!
Prayer.
Prayers are made for reasons. Five times a day to keep us refreshed! Dont forget to instill the right niyyahs when taking wudu'. It helps a lot inshaallah! Pray that all our sins are being washed away, pray that we're being protected from doing bad things. Personally I prefer splashing myself using the cold water pipe only. Cold but it feels so goood. Believe me :)
Please, do stop when the azan comes out from your pc. Dont forget to install it in yr pc ok! Imagine, your lover calling you, surely you're excited and wouldnt waste a second going to him aite? right right? heee.
Studying with computer?
Few days ago, I talked to my mom. I was telling her how hard it is to focus. I'd prefer to abandon my laptop while I was studying, but lots of time, I need it to review the recorded lecture, to read the resources, to see the hw document. My mom expressed her pity to the students nowadays. How hard must it be for them to focus with the inernet. Good things and bad things all scrambled up. The modern mujahadah is getting harder, she says. Only the strong ones will survive!!

Surrounding
Yes! I've always thought studying beside your comfy bed in yr room is good enough. I've always wondering why, why'd my peeps took the harder way to go to the library and study while the house doesnt seem to be a worse choice?! I've realized it know.
It is advisable to NOT mix your resting area and studying area. Psychologically, your mind will be confused. You're used to sleep there and yet sometimes you're studying there. Mom said she always study in the library and came back home in the evening and kiss your bed, hug yr teddy bear and rest! :P (I know in my past post I said good Muslims never rest, but what I meant is never rest doing good things. We aren't superheroes to not sleep) :)
Plus the library is a good place to enhance your competitive mood! The good side that is! Seeing others studying surely will prevent you from wasting yr time. Who'd like to be left behind.
So, do cast away all the lazy feeling and just step out of yr comfy home for a while, ok? *Okay, ummiku sayang*
Circle
I'm telling my mum I'm jealous of my peeps in other universities. They seem to have a nice, warm circle of sisters sharing the same interests- usrah. Here in my place, there are only me and another sis.. Thats why you'll only see me and her from ann arbor everytime there's tamrin or anything related to tarbiyyah. *I'm praying the number'll grow. Amin!* Nevertheless, I'll try and try. Alhamdulillah, the community is still getting in touched. We love each other and enjoy each others’ company. We have minum petang, movie nights, gathering together, almost every week. It's just that the idea of usrah is still foreign to them. There are 15 of us (the Malaysian sisters) and we came from different backgrounds. From that kind to that kind. Hee. *Clearing throat* Am I not trying hard enough to make them interested? I’m trying I’m trying. It takes time and effort but we should never stop trying. Plus to always pray!
And for my own self, just to rely on online usrah, it’s not enough, Mum says. I should get myself involved with the Muslims American. ‘Arent you jeopardizing yourself just because you can’t get your hands on the people around you to join you?’ She asks me. Love yourself, go find another way. So, I’m determined to get myself busy with the MSA. They’re having Sisters’ Discussion every Monday night at Tower Plaza Apartment yet I’ve never tried joining. An American friend of mine has invited me a couple of times, but it’s always because I’m defeated by my ownself to get out of the house alone without my Malaysians. I’m still too dependent :(
